Owners - Bill & Dave Barling It all began in mid-November 1989 when David Barling saw Natal Farm for sale with consent for a Golf Course. Enquiries were quickly made. Consultants inspecting the land confirmed it was the best site they had seen for five-years, the main features being the excellent drainage on the land. Contracts were quickly exchanged and on 3rd March 1990 a whole fleet of machines were brought to site and a vigorous work programme was put in place. That meant the grass seed was on Green 4 and its Fairway during the first week of April and by 28th April the first blades of green grass were shooting through. By the end of June 1990 all the grass on the 18 Hole Course was sown and the full automated water system was working. Next came the 9 Hole Course, and last but not least, in December 1990 the footings for the Clubhouse were excavated and concreted. By the end of January 1991 the steel Clubhouse frame was being erected and the bricklayers were truly on site. The whole of the construction was carried out by D. & W. Barling Limited and the Clubhouse was completed on time ready for the formal opening on 14th June 1991.
